No-Limit Texas Hold’em Poker- Who is Phil Ivey?

Phil Ivey has been referred to as the best poker player on the globe by most of the top-ranked professionals. He was born in Riverside, CA and relocated to New Jersey before his first birthday. His papa taught Phil one cent-ante 5-Card Stud poker. From then on on, he was hooked on poker and wanted to discover anything he possibly could about the game. Phil routinely told his elders that he wanted to be a professional poker player. He did not permit the negative comments from other people annihilate his goal of being one of the greatest poker players on the planet.

He started competing intently after acquiring a false ID with the name of Jerome. He sharpened his game at the casinos of Atlantic City. The initial few years for him were a teaching period and winning wasn’t a common outcome at the time. He made his mark at the 2000 WSOP when he made two final tables and won his 1st World Series of Poker bracelet, in a two dollar, five hundred Pot-Limit Omaha match. At the final table he destroyed a number of the well known pros including "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.

He decided to take his game to the next level and moved out west to Sin City. Phil continues to compete in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the best players on the planet. Phil credits his achievements to dedication and an immeasurable passion for poker. He states that he’s learning every single day and is incredibly abashed about his accomplishments. He admits to making mistakes every single session of poker and constantly strives to improve.

Despite the fact that Phil has come first in some big tournaments, he likes destroying cash games on a normal basis.
