The Importance of Poker Seating
Holdem is all about individuals and seating. All rounded Holdem enthusiasts agree that position in no limit Texas Hold’em is fundamentally essential. Showing your hole cards in late position will be much more beneficial than in starting poker spot. This is because a lot more information is amassed prior to acting.
e.g., I was playing a $1-$2 no limit money game at a local spot. I bumbled in holding 2, 9 unsuited on the dealer button, just to see a little action. Flop came down A-A-4. A player in starting position made a fifteen dollar wager. Two entrants drop out and it was now my turn. I really should have folded, but his betting seemed a little odd. I ID’d this contender as a weak-tight guy, and normally if he held the number one hand he would just check, so I called.
The turn arrived with a 7, making it A-A-4-7. My opponent laid a further bet of $20. I deliberated a little bit, but decided to re-raise a further $30thirty dollars over and above his $20. He dropped out and I won the cash.
Sitting at late spot gives you an insight into where you are positioned by seeing how other players react and bet. On the other hand, individuals at early position may use their poker spot to check-raise the last positioned aggressors and corner them later at the end. In Holdem, each spots, late and starting should be wagered carefully.
