NL Texas Hold’em Poker- Howard Lederer?
Howard Lederer was born into in a family of 5 where he enjoyed gambling on various card games when he was young. He discovered himself becoming really competitive in these card games while playing his dad. After finishing Sr. High school, Howard made a decision to place higher education on hold for a little while and headed to New York to compete in some formidable chess. While playing chess, he was introduced to a poker game taking place in the back of the room. Howard’s first two years were difficult as he played many hours and do not win a majority of the time. He earned some extra money by being an assistant for the poker players. He believed he could better his game by analyzing his life outside of poker. He made an effort to acquire more rest and focus even more on the game.
The definite improvement in his game began when he began gambling at the Mayfair Club in New York City. The Mayfair was a bridge and backgammon association where the greatest players would frequently play against each other. He had access into some of the foremost minds in chess. With their assistance, Howard would sharpen his strategic thinking abilities. He applied these strategy ideas to the game of No-Limit Texas Holdem.
Howard also assisted his sister Annie Duke master poker. She was a great student of the game as she would consistently be asking questions about how to make the correct choice. He told Annie to move out to Vegas and play in the World Series of Poker tournaments. She is one of the greatest women players the poker world ever. Howard Lederer headed to Sin City in Nineteen Ninety Three and competed in money games for the successive 10 years. When the WPT gained popularity, Howard decided to compete in more tournaments.
